Coat & New Underwear Drive now until November 14th

Time to clean out your closets and send in all those new and gently used, clean coats to school for our coat drive to support LINK! We are also collecting new packages of underwear to support Women Giving Back. See the attached flyer HERE for more information.

Lost and Found - A Fall Donation Will be Made Wednesday November 14th

Coats that are unclaimed will be donated to the school's coat drive. If your child is missing any items (jacket, lunchbox, water bottle or any other item), please stop by the school to retrieve before donation time.

Best practice: label your student's jackets / sweatshirts / lunch boxes. With a clearly identified owner, we can take steps to reunite your student with their lost items.

Holiday Gift Card Program - Order by November 28th

Can you believe it, the holidays are coming! The PTA will be offering this popular and very easy to use gift card program that offers you the chance to purchase a variety of very well known retail gift cards. With each card you order, the PTA will earn a percentage of the purchase. This program is a great way to get all your gift card shopping done all at one time. Just order you cards for friends, family, teachers, and more and earn money for the PTA. Every time you help us raise money through programs like this, our students and teachers reap the benefits. So make it easy on yourself and plan to purchase all your gift cards through this program. Forms will be sent home soon or can be found HERE and gift cards should be available by the second week of December. Questions? Email Julie Harris at

Monarch Waystation - Leaf Mulch Needed

Our garden clean-up was successful and the waystation is almost ready for winter. You might notice if you're out by the garden that there are still some flowering plants still there. Those will stay for the winter and will help provide a habitat for insects that will overwinter there. The last thing needed for the waystation is leaf mulch to protect the soil and the roots of the perennial plants.

Got leaves? Put all of those leaves you've raked to good use! We are using leaf mulch for the monarch waystation. Please see attached flyer for details, as leaves should be mulched/chopped before being dropped off at the school. Please contact Gwen Meehan gwen.meehan@gmail.combefore bringing leaves to the school so that volunteers are available to spread the leaves. Thank you for your help!

Do you like to garden? Enjoy being outside? Do your kids like the school playground? Then you can help the school gardens! The Belmont Station Monarch Waystation garden committee is looking for volunteers to help throughout the year. It's not hard, it's not time-consuming, but it IS a great learning experience for kids and parents alike. Email the waystation chair, Gwen Meehan at if you'd like to help with this project.
